COUDERSPORT—The Upper Allegheny Watershed Association
2014 calendar will include prizewinning photos by three photographers, and many
other outstanding submissions, according to Frank Weeks, UAWA president.
Nancy Pascarella won the $50 first prize for her photo of a
creek and wetland area, taken from a higher elevation nearby.
Christine Martin too second place and received $25 for her
shot of a young fawn nursing, while the startled doe stares at the camera.
Corey Appleby’s third place winner of $15 shows the Kinzua
Viaduct seemingly disappearing into fog.
UAWA hold a photography contest every year, and uses the
best in its annual calendar, a collectable publication.
The calendar is available to UAWA members. Dues are $5 a
year. Payment may be sent to UAWA, PO Box 146, Coudersport PA 16915.
UAWA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to
preserving and enhancing water quality in the Upper Allegheny Basin.
