UAWA calendar winners announced



COUDERSPORT—The Upper Allegheny Watershed Association 2014 calendar will include prizewinning photos by three photographers, and many other outstanding submissions, according to Frank Weeks, UAWA president.

Nancy Pascarella won the $50 first prize for her photo of a creek and wetland area, taken from a higher elevation nearby.

Christine Martin too second place and received $25 for her shot of a young fawn nursing, while the startled doe stares at the camera.

Corey Appleby’s third place winner of $15 shows the Kinzua Viaduct seemingly disappearing into fog.

UAWA hold a photography contest every year, and uses the best in its annual calendar, a collectable publication.

The calendar is available to UAWA members. Dues are $5 a year. Payment may be sent to UAWA, PO Box 146, Coudersport PA 16915.

UAWA is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing water quality in the Upper Allegheny Basin.
