The Port Allegany Police Department had
a relatively quiet week from Monday, November 4 through Sunday, November 10.
There was a notification from the
Megan’s law section of Pennsylvania State Police that a sexually violent
predator has moved into the borough and lives at 702½ North Main Street. The
department is distributing community notifications.
Last Tuesday Chief Dave Distrola
received a third party report concerning an alleged domestic incident at a Mill
Street residence. He contacted the female party and was told that the incident
was verbal, and that she was leaving the residence.
At 6 p.m. Officer Kyle Day responded to a Volney
Street residence for a mental health issue. The resident complained that his
caretaker was not preparing his meals properly. Day learned that the individual
was “off his meds.”
The Megan’s Law notification was
received last Thursday.
Sunday Officer William Wenzel received a
wallet that had been found. It belonged to Robert Hamilton III. Wenzel was
unable to contact Hamilton.
At 7:15 p.m. Day went to 203 Arnold
Avenue in connection with a 911 hang-up. The emergency turned out to be “a
three-year-old messing with a phone.” Day informed the parent.
