Halloween came and went without a ghost
of an outbreak of mischief, but Port Allegany Police dealt with the usual

Sunday, November 3.
Last Monday at 10:45
a.m. Chief Dave Distrola and Officer Jason
Crants received a complaint concerning a computer scam in which the victim

unknown caller gained access to the complainant’s computer. The victim
cancelled credit card access and contacted credit bureaus.
At 6 p.m. Officer Colin Strawcutter interviewed
Michael Frontino concerning the motor vehicle crash that had occurred on
October 27 in front or 315 North Main Street. Frontino, the operator of the
vehicle in question, said he had fallen asleep at the wheel, and left the scene
because he believed his license was suspended from a prior DUI. Frontino was
cited for various traffic offenses.
Last Tuesday at 4:40 p.m. Distrola and
Crants received a complaint of verbal harassment. A female complainant stated
that a known male subject had confronted her in the Dollar General parking lot,
had called her a vulgar name and stated, “You’re the [vulgar term] that ruined
my brother’s life.”
At 5:30 p.m., in the following shift,
Officer Adam Dickerson located the alleged harasser and advised him to refrain
from accosting anyone in that manner in a public setting.
At 7 p.m. Officer Dickerson received a tip concerning
a possible party on Maple Street. He was unable to pinpoint any location where
illicit activity had been said to be happening, and he did not observe any
excessive traffic in or out of any residence in the neighborhood.
Thursday at 1

vehicle lockout at Mick’s Diner.
Friday at 10:30

the elementary school.

the scene of a crash on Route 6 West and secured the scene until the arrival of
Pennsylvania State Police.

Volney Street for a report of a 911 hang-up. He made contact with a resident
identified as Dave Kelley, who was found to be intoxicated. Dickerson advised
him that any further such acts would result in his arrest.

response to a complaint from someone who said subjects had threatened to cause
him harm, and to damage his vehicle. The incident is under investigation and
charges may be pending.
