BRADFORD, PA – The
University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Division of Physical and Computational
Sciences will hold an open house Nov. 2 as part of the university’s 50th
Anniversary celebration.
The open house will
take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Fisher Hall and will include the
engineering students’ annual egg drop competition, a 3-D printer presentation
and a demonstration on amplifiers’ input and output.
In the chemistry
department, presenters will demonstrate how methanol is converted into gasoline
and make poster and video presentations. Dr. John Draeger, associate professor
of chemistry, Dr. Hashim Yousif, professor of physics, and others will also
give demonstrations.
The petroleum
technology program will show a video on exploration. Refreshments will be
served.
