Loretta P. Hill, Crossword Puzzle Enthusiast/Great-grandmother of seventeen

Loretta P. Hill, 80, of Port Allegany, PA, passed away Monday, October 1, 2013 at her residence in Liberty Township.

Born on December 20, 1932 in Bradford, PA, she was the daughter of Felix and Eva Stuart McLaughlin . On July 23, 1960 she married her husband Robert D. Hill who preceded her in death on January 8, 2011.

Mrs. Hill had been a resident of Port Allegany area for most of her life. She had worked for Zippo prior to her retirement. She was an avid crossword puzzle enthusiast, enjoyed reading, but really loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her children, Coleen Murray of Wheeling, WV, Robin Nortum, Eva Hill, and Robert Hill (Angel) all of Port Allegany, PA, ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, brothers, Pat and Bill McLaughlin, sisters, Becky and Gert McLaughlin and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, David Hill brothers, Ted, Aaron and Fred McLaughlin, sisters, Clista Haskins, Ann Howard, and Catherine Ayers.

Friends are invited to Loretta’s’s life celebration at the Thomas E. Fickinger Funeral Home, Coudersport, PA, on Monday, October 7, 2013, with a receiving of friends from 11am-1pm, service to follow at 1pm, Sam Crossley officiating. Burial will be in the Eulalia Cemetery.
