Corporal Charles Nicklas from Emporium is pictured checking out the car
seat of Kinley Rose Smith as her mother, Sarah, looks on. Corporal
Nicklas, along with Corporal Jim Weaver of the Kane/Clearfield area,
conducted Child Safety Seat checks at the Port Allegany Ambulance barn.
Out of 19 seats that were checked, only two were installed properly.
Seats that are installed improperly compromise the safety of the
