Players’ Jukebox will play golden oldies Friday night/By Martha Knight

“Jukebox Hangouts” well remembered by those of a certain age will be combined into one typical setting, when the Potter-McKean Players present the first performance of their latest revue.

Presenting favorites of the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, the singers and their band will perform beginning at 7 p.m. Friday in the Port Allegany High School auditorium.

The revue will be performed again at 7 p.m. Friday, October 18, at the Coudersport Consistory. That performance will follow a 5:30 p.m. prime rib dinner at the Consistory social hall, for those who choose to make an evening of it. The Consistory will celebrate its 100th year that weekend.

Director Paul Herzig notes that the Players have been rehearsing many hours, in Port Allegany and Coudersport, both to please their audiences and to raise funds for the food banks of the two communities.

Tickets are available in Port Allegany at Port Pharmacy, First National Bank (both offices), Joel Anderson’s office, Citizens and Northern Bank and the Samuel W. Smith Memorial Public Library.

In Coudersport tickets are on sale at Buchanan’s Pharmacy, Laurelwood Inn, First National Bank, Hauber’s Jewelry and the Consistory. Hamlin Bank in Smethport has tickets as well, as do production and cast members.
