A benefit to help with travel and
medical expenses for Michael "Beef" Ventresca was held Friday, Saturday
and Sunday, September 6, 7 and 8 at Moe's Bar and Grill located at 68
Mill Street in Port Allegany. "Beefapalooza" featured DJ Bill
Friday night, a collection of local bands including Just Another
Distraction on Saturday and a pulled-pork BBQ dinner on Sunday
and much
more. The three-day event raised over $5,000. Mr. Ventresca was
recently diagnosed with lung cancer and will be
traveling back and forth to Pittsburgh for chemotherapy and will
eventually face surgery. He is a graduate of Port Allegany High School,
class of 2002. Pictured are Michael "Beef" Ventresca and Charli Moses
