National Recognition for PAHS Tiger Lily Staff



Port Allegany Jr./ Sr. High School Named Jostens 2013 National Yearbook Program of Excellence for the Second Consecutive Year Port Allegany High School program recognized for dynamic and engaging yearbook.

Port Allegany – May 2013 –  Jostens, the leading producer of yearbooks and student-created content, today announced that Port Allegany’s yearbook program has been named a 2013 Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence for the second consecutive year.  The National Yearbook Program of Excellence designation recognizes dynamic school yearbook programs.  The program recognizes yearbook staffs and advisers who create engaging yearbooks for their school communities.

The Port Allegany award winning yearbook program is led by co-editor-in-chiefs, Cheyenne Helo and Debbie Andrus under the direction of Mrs. Kimberly Bowser, Port Allegany yearbook adviser assisted by Mrs. Evelyn Mealy and staff members Alex Bowser, Hannah Buchsenschutz, Alysa Dickinson, Britani Dickinson, Alexandra Heffner, Daulton Helo, Erika Helo, Alexis Penick, Michaelee Peters, Zach Peters, Barbara Pinchock, and Daniel Stuckey.


“This staff has been dedicated to the many responsibilities required to produce and market this year’s Port Allegany Tiger Lily yearbook.  From securing advertisements in the summer months, to selling books throughout the year, to proofing and tagging images; this group has done it all and done it well,” commented Adviser Kim Bowser.  “I am proud to lead this group of motivated, creative, and amazing kids!”


Jostens’ National Yearbook Program of Excellence Awards are presented twice a year, in May for yearbooks delivered in the spring and in September for yearbooks delivered in the fall.  The Award was presented to the Port Allegany yearbook program for achieving the defined criteria in each of three following categories; creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process.  This is the second consecutive year that Port Allegany has received this award.  Pam Fischer Photo
