Grand Prize Winners at CTC

The 2013 Grand Prize winners of the Incentive Contest are pictured with their prizes.  Alexis Penick is picture with her Chevy Cavalier donated by Bidwell Auto while Andy Shick is pictured with his Mitsubishi Galant donated from Kightlinger Motors, Inc.  Also pictured are Tom Bidwell of Bidwell Auto and Scot Miller of Kightlingers.  The presentation was made at the Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center's Awards Assembly held May 17 at the school. 

CTC AWARDS ASSEMBLY - The Seneca Highlands Career and Technical Center's Awards Assembly was held on May 17 at the school. 

Participating school include Austin, Cameron County, Coudersport, Galeton, Northern Potter, Oswayo Valley, Otto-Eldred, Port Allegany and Smethport.  CTC Director is James Young, and Chief School Administrator is Donald Wismar. 

Skills USA District Competition participants were Michael Adams, Josh Downs, Lucas Manning, Martin Peterson, Trevor Schweigart, Patrick Bollhorst, Jonnie Howard, Kyle Pease, Breanna Schmidt and Collin Scutt.  Competing at the State Level were Jonnie Howard and Kyle Pease. 

Recognition Awards were awarded to the top student in the program, one for AM Students and a second for PM students.  Jameson Haskins and Patrick Bollhorst, Automotive Mechanics; Ronald Powell and Collin Scott, Building Construction Occupations; Kirstie Nichols, Breanna Schmidt, Cosmetology; Steven Maben, Michelle Caldwell, Culinary Arts; Brooke Penick, Jonnie Howard, Health Assistant; William Downey, Michael Adams, Heavy Equipment Maintenance; Logan Stewart, Jeremyah Merrick, IT Essentials; Andrew Shick, Kyle Pease, Rop Machinists;  Zachary Catherman,Top Welder; Metalworking Occupations; Jeffrey Payne and Martin Peterson, Networking Technology.

Other awards presented include:  E&G Autoplus Scholarship Award, Patrick Bollhorst; Northwest Savings Bank Citizen Award, Michael Adams and Na'Keisha Barber; Kades-Margolis Award, Trent Neal and Shelby Vidonish; Port Allegany Women's Club Award, Shelby Vidonish and Jessica Morrison; Education Association Award, Martin Peterson; Directors Award, Dalton Caden, Kelly Sturdevant, Heidi Elliott,and Sonja Winston; Worth Ethic Award, Derek Craft; Abbott Welding Award, Zachary Catherman; Mathematics Award, Shelby Vidonish and Dalton Bliss; Cosmetology Scholarship Award, Breanna Schmidt; Port Allegany Rotary Service Award, Dustinchapell and Heidi Estes; Rotary Outstanding Vocational Award, Terry Cramer, Shelby Vidonish and Brandon Raymo; Odd Fellows Citizenship Award, Andrew Teclaw and Collin Scutt; Net Rider Competition, David Hager,  Dane Kio, Martin Peterson, Jacob Robbins, Dale Stanton, Trenton James, jeffrey Payne, Tyler Prouty and Kenett Shafer; Dual Enrollment, Martin Peterson; Perfect Attendance, Dustin Chapell, Farrah Fischer, Andrew Miller, Heath Dake, Andrew Lawrence, Stephen Stefko and Dale Stanton.

Students of the Month were November, Trevor Schweigart and Michelle Caldwell; December, Collin Scutt and Jeffrey Payne, Jonnie Howard; January, Michael Adams, Breanna Schmidt; February, Terry Cramer, Brandon Hancock, Steven Maben; March, Ronald Powell, Martin Peterson and Megan Unverdorben; April, William Downey and Kirstie Nichols; May, Dalton Caden and Kyle Pease.  The AM Student of the Year is Steven Maben.  The PM Student of the Year is Jonnie Howard. 

Grand Prize Winners for Attendance was Andrew Lawrence; Most Improved Student was Logan Warnick; and the Highest GPA Award went to Jessica Morrison.
