Peter Causer wins Annin Supervisor primary/By Martha Knight

Turtlepoint—Peter C. Causer was apparent winner of the Republican nomination for supervisor, based on unofficial results of May 21 primary balloting.

PeterCCauser.jpgCauser received 49 votes to best John Barr, who received 40, while Linda Benson tallied 15.

Causer, a former dairy farmer, is brother to former McKean County commissioner Thomas Causer, and will join nephew Brian Causer on the board of supervisors. The nominee also is uncle to Assemblyman Martin Causer.

Barr is road master in the township, and a former supervisor, having been defeated by Brian Causer two years ago.

It was Benson’s first time to seek elective office.

No one filed for the Democratic nomination.
