Lewis' Celebrate 60th Wedding Anniversary

Eugene and Mary Ellen McLaughlin Lewis were united in marriage on April 18, 1953 at the Keating Summit United Methodist Church with Rev. Williams Phillips officiating. Attendants included Ellen Mantz Butler, Carol McLaughlin Mantz, Gerry Lewis Moses, Tony Acristo, Ralph Mantz and Don Moses. Flower girls were Bonnie Bonawitz and Sandy Moses Austin. The couple has two children - Kathy Kenyon of Coudersport and Julie Lewis of Denver, Colorado. The couple also welcomed many Exchange Students and foster children into their home. Mrs. Lewis worked as a beautician and her husband worked at Pittsburgh Corning. They are members of the Port Allegany United Methodist Church. The couple celebrated their anniversary with an Open House held at Sweden Valley Manor in Coudersport. The party, hosted by Kent, Kathy and Rebecca Kenyon, featured music by Barb Headley and a performance of the Essence of Motion dance students.
